"Why do I seek out adventure? It's counter-intuitive for a supremely-sensitive autistic to travel the world. Does it hurt? Absolutely, yet seeing distant lands and experiencing new cultures stimulates my interests and expands my perspective. And then there is the joy of photography. Since I think in pictures, these images are my greatest tool for expression and my greatest hope for connection." - KJ Swan, Autistic Trekker

I am a visual thinker. I am also autistic. My world is intense - every sense is heightened and I notice subtleties others miss. I could not have predicted the importance of being given a camera. It has become my greatest tool for expression.

I perceive the world a bit differently than most. I see details before vistas and patterns everywhere. I travel often and attempt to capture the essence of my experience in every photo. My thoughts, feelings and stories are embedded in every image. I hope my photographs bring you as much joy to view, as I receive from sharing them. Thanks for visiting.
